Brief

Thomas.Matthews was approached to, ‘Make Stratford town centre more welcoming’ through the delivery of a design strategy to help raise the profile of the local businesses and cultural offer. These shopfront murals were one of a variety of deliverables I designed whilst on the TM team. I held sessions at Stratford library to discuss with locals how they felt about the local area, using their words as a basis for the designs. The words relate to the shops below, encouraging passers by to connect to their surroundings.

Hear from the locals.

Made by Stratford Original, this video gives an insight into the process behind the making of the five murals, and the local peoples’ reactions. If you want to hear a bit about the thought process behind the designs skip to 1 minute in.

If you like the look of them, why not go and visit yourself?
